Franco Pasquini, an agronomist, lives in Pistoia, near Florence. He is an accredited Extra Virgin Olive Oil taster since 1995 and an International Olive Council (IOC) panel leader since 1997. Since 2011 he is president of ANAPOO (National Association of Olive Oil Professional Tasters) and directs one of the four tasting panels of ANAPOO recognized from the Italian Ministry of Agricultural Policies. Since 2013 he has been panel leader of the “Il Magnifico” International Olive Oil Competition, held in Florence. He has organized and directed numerous official courses for tasters in various parts of Italy (in accordance with IOC/EU laws) and has participated as a taster in various olive oil competitions, such as “Harmony”.
