Efthymia Despotaki

Efthymia Despotaki holds a degree in Agricultural Science from the Faculty of Crop Science at the Agricultural University of Athens, as well as an MSc in Agricultural Science from the same university. During her studies, she specialized in olive cultivation. Since 2011, she has worked as an Agricultural Officer in the Horticulture Section of Cyprus’s Department of Agriculture. Since 2013, she has been a member of the Olive Oil Organoleptic Assessment Panel of Cyprus' Department of Agriculture, the only such panel in the country. The panel is state-approved and recognized by the International Olive Council, and she currently serves as the panel leader. She has attended the International Course for Panel Leaders on the Sensory Analysis of Virgin Olive Oil, organized by the IOC, as well as additional specialized training delivered by distinguished experts in the field. Through her participation in the panel, she aims to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the quality of Cypriot olive oil.
