Ana Gaspar

With a degree in Food Engineering from the Escola Agrária de Coimbra and a postgraduate degree in Agronomy from the Escola Agrária de Beja, Ana Gaspar is currently in charge of quality control of olives and olive oils at Esporão. Ana started her professional career in the world of wine, in 2011, with an emphasis on the aromatic characteristics of the Verdelho and Gouveio grape varietals and as a quality control manager. In 2013, however, she embraced a new project at Esporão, in the field of olive oil with which she rapidly fell in love. In 2017 she traveled to Mendoza, Argentine, where she worked for a while at the Zuccardi Familia company, a reference in the area of wines and olive oils. She has further training in organic farming, integrated production, contaminants in food, food fraud and allergens and is also a Level 2 diploma holder from WSET, in wine. She has judged at several national and international EVOO competitions.
